Using Sugar Or Vinegar?!
Updated: Dec 12, 2019
This morning I received a mail from a business who sells a tool, for your website.
With one click you can check if you have made spelling mistakes.
This is what they send to me:
Error on your website
It looks like you've misspelled the word "succes" on your website.
I thought you would like to know :). Silly mistakes can ruin your site's credibility.
I've used a tool called "website" in the past to keep mistakes off of my website.
Read more underneath the picture.
I send them this:
You have used the contact form on "my website"
The word success cannot be found on that site.
On my other website "my website" you can find that word, but it is written in the correct spelling.
I worked as an account manager in the marketing industry.
Tip: try to find new customers for your app using sugar and not with vinegar!
Meaning: Start with a compliment and then propose that the results can be even better! Then state your app! I would have used it!
Tip 2: If you do want to tell people where they made a mistake, I suggest to do some homework. Because, telling people about an error, they did not even made, can ruin your app credibility.
** To register so that you receive the messages in your mailbox, you need to subscribe on the site from which you want to receive the messages. Of course you can also register on both websites, so that you receive all messages!
