The story of the criticaster.

Once upon a time, there was a gentleman who made it his hobby,

to lecture me in a straightforward way, wherever I had to minister or shared something.

He just never agreed with me.

I did not respond to it. Until I received an email from him, in which he filleted me. Nothing remained of me.

As a believer in the God of Avraham Yitzchak and Ya'acov, I wanted to weigh my words before sharing them with him.

The best way to do that was to pray for it.

I gained some insight into this person, and I received patience and grace.

Sometimes the person who seems to bring you down is the one who ultimately lifts you up.

The end of the song was that I sent an email where I could also share the LOVE that I myself have received so graciously from my Lord.

It remained silent for a year. And then the day came when I received an email from him.

Long story short, he was deeply impressed by the love and gentleness that was in my answer.

He poured out his heart. He shared his own insecurity, his lack of words, and his grief for never excelling at anything. The end of the story was that we both learned a lot.

We are all human, we all have our own ups and downs.

We certainly have one thing in common: we all long for appreciation.

Sometimes the person who seems to bring you down is the one who ultimately lifts you up.
